Jenny & Jeremy: An Elegant Black Tie Wedding
One of the things that I absolutely loved about Jenny and Jeremy‘s wedding was how simple and relaxed their day was. They started out getting ready in separate areas of Shawnee Inn, with family and friends. After getting ready, Jeremy went to the on-site brewing company with his groomsmen to relax before the wedding ceremony and play some table games. Jenny got ready near the spa at Shawnee Inn and did a little first look with her bridesmaids.
I feel like one of the most underrated wedding traditions is doing a first look with your bridesmaids. Sometimes they have even already seen you, but when you do a first look with your bridesmaids, it gives them a moment to be present with you and to show their emotion and excitement for you. It gives you a moment to fully taken the fact that you’re getting married and to be celebrated.
One of the things that I like to do after a first look with bridesmaids is to pop champagne, or to have the bridesmaids, have a drink together. Jenny and Jeremy‘s wedding ceremony was relatively simple with personal vows, and an officiant who was a close friend. As we went into their reception, they did a little tunnel entry and then partied the night away with their closest friends and family.
