A Romantic, and Simplistic Garden / Casual Wedding

I could talk forever about this one. The Phillippi Wedding was at Curtin Mansion at Eagle Iron Works in Howard, Pennsylvania, a Lock Haven area wedding venue. It is close enough to State College to be convenient for all Penn State has to offer, yet far enough out to be away from the modern hustle and bustle of that area. Holly and Ben’s wedding was absolutely beautiful.


The Ceremony itself took place just outside of Curtin Mansion with the historic and elegant glow (possibly also caused by wildfire smoke). The environment resembled a casual family backyard wedding with a large pavilion and a tent. Holly and Ben opted for a more simplistic yet intentional wedding style. Holly got her flowers from Flowers By Monica in Mill Hall, Pennsylvania her hair was done by her cousin, and their food was catered by family, and the most amazing little sweet treats from Gable House Bakery.


Holly's wedding was special to me not just because it was intentionally planned like the rest of my weddings, but because Holly is one of my close friends, and was a bridesmaid in my own wedding. She and I met in my sophomore year of college at Pennsylvania College of Technology. We soon became roommates, adventured all over together with our college "Squad", and as I developed my career in Photography she was one of my models, and one of the people that I practiced new styles the most on. Flesh forward as she has moved around, our friendship has changed as all friendships too, but the closeness and connection that I feel with both her and Ben is unmatched. Her care and her support has helped me go further in my business than I ever imagined I would.


She taught me that having a second shooter is a good thing, and after I trained her with my cameras she became my second shooter for a little while before her career in marketing began to flourish. I am so grateful that she has found a man who loves her the way that she deserves and participates in life with her on all of her adventures and supports her and all of her passions, and in all of her needs as well.
