A Romantic Walk through Woods near Williamsport


I absolutely loved Ashley and Sam’s engagement session — the kind that lingers with you long after you pack up your camera. We met at Rose Valley Lake in Trout Run, Pennsylvania and wandered through fields of rolling snow, scrambling over rocks and letting the quiet of the woods set the pace. It felt less like a session and more like an adventure, the kind you’d expect deep in a national park tucked somewhere in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Ferns, fallen trees, tiny mushrooms hidden along the trail — nature showed off, and Ashley and Sam met it with laughter, warmth, and that effortless, romantic kind of connection.


What made it even sweeter was that this wasn’t a “before the wedding” engagement session at all. It was an anniversary session, styled like an engagement session — a full-circle moment that felt intentional and meaningful. Getting to see their personalities come alive again, in a new season of life, was such a gift.


And honestly, spending their wedding day with them made it all feel even more special. From quiet, heartfelt moments to joyful chaos, I loved being surrounded by their close-knit family — the kind of people who hug tight, laugh loud, and make a day feel full in the best way. It’s sessions and wedding days like this that remind me why I love what I do here in Williamsport and all across Northeastern Pennsylvania: the romance, the adventure, the people.
