What should I bring as backup?

Yes, some times someone forgets something they are given or supposed to bring. Here are common ones:

  • Suit
  • Tie or Bowtie *
  • Tie Clip
  • Bracelet
  • Watch *
  • Proper colored shirt *
  • Suspenders *
  • Dress shoes *
  • A gift from the groom (flask, watch, shot glass, hat, t-shirt, fun socks, etc)
  • A gift from the bride (getting ready attire, hair piece, jewelry, custom mug, etc)

If you have someone forgetful in your wedding party, it might be a good idea to get an extra of anything marked with (*) if it is important to you that they have it.

It may be a good idea to check in with the wedding party the week before to make sure they have everything you need them to have. Have them check on their tux or suit rental location to make sure they have the right pick up spot.
